One month ago today, the utterly ghastly and fatal terrorist attack on three young and dynamic American Muslims in a quiet college town in North Carolina was met by an almost freakish silence on mainstream media. 23 year old Deah Shaddy Barakat; his newly wedded wife Yosur Mohammad Abu Salha, 21; and her sister, Razan Mohammad Abu Salha, 19, were three well-liked and socially active individuals. Deah, a dental student, and his wife also worked as charity volunteers who provisioned free dental care and food parcels to homeless people in their community.
