The UN has confirmed that a senior unnamed Saudi official had on two occasions made death threats against Agnes Callamard, the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary, or arbitrary executions.
“Those responsible for the persecution of journalists in Saudi Arabia, including the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, must be held accountable for their crimes…No one should be above international law, especially when crimes against humanity are at stake.”
The United States released a hotly anticipated bombshell report on its intelligence community’s assessment of the disappearance and killing of the renowned Saudi author and journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
