When things do not conform to plan, we feel that we have been abandoned and that the promises of aid missed us. Far from abandonment, the ‘delay’ in aid could be because the threshold of effort that Allāh expects is yet to be reached, although one may be only a few more inches away from it.
Your small boat may be able to take you to the edge of an ocean, but it cannot make you sail through it. Similarly, your mind may guide you to the Oneness of Allāh, but never will it be able to fully encompass His wisdom and endless subtleties upon you.
Cast aside every weak and helpless mortal and instead cast your eyes towards the Maker of them all.
Repentance is a necessary part of life, but so too is sinning, because without the ability to sin, repentance would have no use to us.

Every architect has set parameters with which they work by, and they accept that their designs will have flaws and limitations. However, this does not apply to Allāh.
“As harsh as this may sound, and as politically incorrect as it may be, I have full confidence and no hesitation in stating that whoever claims to be a Muslim, acknowledges Allāh as His Maker and Provider, and has an interest in being safe on the Day of Reckoning, yet still neglects the prayer, then that person is an evil person.”

Trust Him, be content with Him, and watch how you will live in bliss with Him.
