Investing in Your Hereafter How to Give a Lot With Less

The merits of giving charity are well known. But is there a way to achieve a lot whilst giving relatively little? How can we give at a time when many are feeling financial strain with the cost of living spiralling out of control? Are such opportunities actually available?

A Powerful ApproachReap the Rewards

Muslim non-profit organisations face numerous challenges when it comes to fundraising to sustain and expand their work. This is especially the case for non-profits engaged in non-humanitarian work. Naturally, we, as a community, are committed to addressing pertinent global issues such as alleviating poverty, providing shelter and accommodation, feeding families, providing clean water supplies, and taking care of orphans.

This is vital work that must continue. But there are other organisations supporting causes that need funding to continue their important work. Organisations such as HHUGS, PreventWatch, CAGE, MEND, and Islam21c rely on such generous support.

Such Muslim non-profits can find themselves grappling with the financial burden of operating and delivering services, making it imperative for the community to rally together and support these organisations through consistent and generous contributions.

A Powerful Approach

The impact of small but regular contributions may be underestimated, with many believing that only large donations can make a meaningful difference.

However, the Prophet (ﷺ) said,

أَحَبُّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى الله أدومها وَإِن قل

“The acts most pleasing to God are those which are done most continuously, even if they amount to little.” [1]

[Agreed upon]

The power of this approach lies in its consistency and the collective effort of many individuals.

By donating a small amount on a monthly basis, we can create a sustainable and reliable source of income for non-profit organisations, allowing them to carry out their crucial work without financial strain. These small amounts would barely be noticeable to most, and can be set up in an automated way with no additional effort required at all.

One of the key benefits of these monthly Sadaqah donations is the ability to create sustainable impact over time.

Non-profit organisations can plan and execute their projects more effectively, when they have a consistent flow of funds. This stability allows them to make long-term commitments, expand their reach, and develop sustainable solutions to complex challenges. By contributing regularly, we become part of a lasting effort that can transform lives and uplift communities while fostering lasting change.

Reap the Rewards

The act of investing Sadaqah not only benefits the recipient, it also brings blessings to the giver.

It is an investment in the Hereafter and a means of seeking Allah’s pleasure. The blessings of this noble act are many.

Sadaqah…

  • Prolongs life
  • Increases wealth
  • Extinguishes sins
  • Provides shade on the Day of Judgment
  • Can be a means to attain Paradise, and much more.

As a model of funding that is vitally important to non-profit organisations, small monthly Sadaqah donations are a powerful way to make a lasting impact on our society.

By embracing the practice of consistent giving, we can support causes that align with our values and contribute to the betterment of the Ummah. The transformative potential of our small contributions does make a real difference.

Our Heroes campaign has been set up to pave the way based on this model; invest in your Hereafter today with as little as only £3 per month!
