Clashes after Israeli police shoot Imam of al-Aqsa

Sign petition: Ban occupying forces from closing Al Aqsa Mosque

Videos have emerged of intense clashes at the gates of al-Aqsa Masjid as Occupational Forces impose their control on its entrances.

It has been reported that Imam of al-Aqsa, the elderly Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, has been shot and injured by a rubber bullet.[1]

The Imam had just finished leading the night prayer when Occupational Forces attempted to disperse worshippers violently. Sheikh Sabri was then taken to the Al Maqassid Hospital in eastern Jerusalem.

Tensions have risen across the illegally occupied West Bank after Occupational Forces installed metal detectors at the entrance to the Al-Aqsa compound.
