Zionist regime “authorises” nine illegal West Bank settlements

Extremist regime led by Benjamin Netanyahu continues to implement oppressive policies that cause untold misery to the native Palestinians

On Sunday, the so-called “security cabinet” of the Zionist entity announced that it would be approving nine illegal West Bank settlements, with a view to “strengthen[ing]” the regions. For decades, settlement-building in the occupied West Bank has been internationally deemed unlawful. [1]

The move is the latest step taken by one of the most hard-line ultra-nationalist Israeli regimes to ever hold office since the unacceptable formation of the entity in 1948. [2]

Zionist entity continues to push false narrative

In a statement released over the weekend, the disastrous move was billed as a reaction to the “…murderous terrorist attacks in Jerusalem”. [1]

The statement added that “…the security cabinet decided unanimously to authorise nine communities in Judea and Samaria” โ€“ utilising the name favoured by the Israeli regime when describing the West Bank. [1]

Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu’s office also claimed in the statement,

“These communities have existed for many years, some have existed for decades… The civil administration higher planning committee will be convened in the coming days to approve the construction of new residential units in existing communities in Judea and Samaria.โ€ [1]

West Bank is a part of Palestine

The West Bank is home to just shy of 3 million Palestinians, with around 500,000 Israeli citizens having illegally located themselves in the Palestinian territory. [3]

For many years, the Zionist entity has either tacitly given approval of such encroachment of Palestinian land, or actively promoted building works and the relocation of Israeli citizens in order to displace the native Palestinians.

In a statement released by Department of State, US said that it is "deeply troubled" by Israelโ€™s decision to advance nearly 10,000 settlement units and begin process to retroactively legalize 9 West Bank outposts. pic.twitter.com/ODyD4FSomS

While the despotic Israeli regime continues to unfairly accuse the Palestinians of engaging in “terror” attacks and other such incidents, it conveniently glosses over the fact that it has occupied and oppressed the native population for over 75 years.

This latest statement and step by the Zionist entity proves the extent to which it is willing to go, in order to subjugate the Palestinians of their homeland.

All talk, no action

Following Sunday’s announcement by the Zionist regime, the US responded by saying it was “deeply troubled”. [4]

The Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, suggested that the Zionist entity’s biggest international donor was against the move. [4]

On Monday, Blinken outlandishly said,

“We strongly oppose such unilateral measures, which exacerbate tensions and undermine the prospects for a negotiated two-state solution.” [4]

Despite the official verbal response, there is no obvious indication as to whether there will be any punitive measures taken against the entity. [4]

The same can be argued for Saudi Arabia, whose Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, said during a joint news conference with the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell,

โ€œThe announcement by #Israel of the annexation of these nine settlements, a blatantly illegal act which will only increase inflame tensions.โ€
