Just one month ago, a deadly attack on Jenin’s 17,000 residents by the Zionist military stretched over 48 hours and saw thousands of homes, buildings, and major infrastructure completely devastated. Roads in and around the city were torn up. Massive damage was the result, with Jenin’s public services — including the electricity supply — decimated in order to cause maximum destruction to the whole refugee camp and the entire municipality. [1] [2]

The incursion was one of the Zionist entity’s largest operations in the West Bank since 2005. It was a collective punishment upon the Palestinians of Jenin, which left 12 martyred and hundreds of residents injured, with thousands more displaced.

In a desperate and cowardly effort to target the hub of the noble Palestinian resistance, the Zionist military sent in thousands of their soldiers, who could only dare enter shops and homes when backed up by a series of drone airstrikes, and with the support of scores of tanks and bulldozers to fend off the fearless and resilient armed resistance groups.

Likewise, under the cover of media propaganda, the Zionists have tried to highlight that Jenin deserved this treatment because it represents the resistance groups supported by Hamas and Palestinian Jihad, who in turn conduct operations in Israel upon its citizens.

A trip down memory lane

Palestinians were first evicted from their homes after the division of the Muslim lands by the European colonial powers and the land grab for Palestine by European Zionists immediately after the Second World War, in 1948.

The Jenin refugee camp itself was set up in 1953 by the nefarious United Nations, and throughout its history, the site has faced constant challenges.

Ranging from its limited infrastructure, lack of adequate housing, overcrowding, and the restricted access to electricity and basic services, these are wholly due to the ongoing, increasingly violent, and ever encroaching Zionist occupation. [2]

The embodiment of fortitude

Despite all of these challenges, the people of Jenin and Palestine at large are the epitome of patience and perseverance in the face of oppression and severe hardship.

Their constancy and resilience in the face of the brutal occupation can be noted in their actions which reflect their deep love for Allah (subḥānahu wa ta’āla) and their firm adherence to Islam.

Their strong īmān enables them to face the daily oppression meted out by the Israeli government, military, and now even the Zionist settlers who are permitted to police many areas under new legislation.

Firas Abu Wafa, the father of a 19-year-old fighter killed during the July invasion, proudly said,

“My son sacrificed himself for this land, he told me he did not want to get married or have a family. All he wanted to do was to dedicate his life to Palestine, and to fighting the occupation.” [3]

Like him, many of the sons and daughters of this blessed land have the characteristics of the victorious, as they are unflinching in their duty to defend their people, the Bayt al-Maqdis, and the Dīn of Islam in the face of this long-lasting and bitter struggle.

Muslim leaders are nowhere to be found

Compare the above honourable attitude to the inaction of neighbouring armies, where the leaders of the Muslims — lobotomised by their allegiance to Western powers — have suppressed the sincere men of arms into inaction, forcing their allegiance to the nation state, rather than enabling them to fulfil their Islamic duty towards the occupation.

Protests throughout Palestine had called for Muslim armies to respond to the Israeli aggression in Jenin. Palestinian Muslims called upon the people of strength from among the Muslim Ummah, as their brothers, to defend their lives and properties, avenge their dead, and stand against the Zionists with their comparable strength. These calls fell on deaf ears.

Colonial tools and betrayals: unmasking the reality of international resolutions

The liberation of Palestine will never ever be at the hands of those who make peace processes or regional agreements with the Zionists or their Western backers.

Why? Because the Oslo Accords peace process and its repeated affirmations, as well as the Palestinian Authority’s regional negotiations, both exist in a perfectly designed framework.

This framework is intended to completely strip the Palestinians of their right to the land, and for the whole of the land and even parts of the wider region to be “legally” usurped — and so come under the permanent jurisdiction of the Zionist entity.

Moreover, the international resolutions and institutions and all their mechanisms are no more than colonial tools that implement the will and the plans of Western global powers. These institutions are the ones that legitimised the occupation of Palestine by the Zionists with their disingenuous decisions in the first place.

Victory is only through allegiance to Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ)

Like others in the international sphere, the Arab League also seeks to market political absurdity and use such tools to deceive the people.

Did it ever think that its betrayal and the betrayal of the Muslim regimes will deceive the people of Palestine and the Ummah at large?

As Allah (subḥānahu wa ta’āla) warns,

“Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun [i.e., escape] Us? Evil is what they judge.” [4]

Rather, victory will descend upon Palestine in the way that victory is always achieved: through the obedience and allegiance to Allah (subḥānahu wa ta’āla) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (ﷺ)!

Those who take the correct steps towards liberation, using the strength of their intellect and their might, will definitely be successful.

He (subḥānahu wa ta’āla) perfectly explains,

“Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, strong against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of the blamers.” [5]
