Ammar Waraich from the Malik El-Shabbazz Initiative (MESI) interviews Islam21c’s Chief Editor, Dr Salman Butt, on so-called ‘radicalisation’, universities and the Prevent Strategy.  MESI is a new project, launched to explore issues of modernity and society with respect to Islam and Muslim individuals or communities.  It aims to utilise a multitude of opinions to conduct discussions with traditional Islamic theologians, specific experts and prominent personalities.
