The Qur’ān has been divided into 30 parts (juz, pl. ajzā) for ease of memorising and reciting. Below is our QuranCast podcast with Ustadh Abu Haneefah Sohail, our Juz by Juz video series with Ustadh Asif Uddin, an excerpt from our famous Juz by Juz publication and app.

These have been compiled to help us develop kushū’ (attentiveness) and enrich our prayers when listening to the Qur’ān, especially in Ramadān when many mosques try to complete its recitation during this blessed month.

We hope it becomes an encouragement for us to read at least one Juz each day of our lives and to become attached to the Qur’ān, such that we become known as the People of Qur’ān.

Editor’s Pick

Of the hundreds of articles we publish in a year here we will share ones that caught our eye in particular, and ones that you can maximise benefit from in this blessed month.

I started to take steps in order to fit in with the new crowd. I began to straighten my hair, a lot. I started experimenting with make-up and eventually excelled at it. Gradually I started to mirror the girls surrounding me. The clothes, the hair, the make-up, the whole nine yards. Despite all these changes, though, despite the huge amount of effort I had gone to in order to fit in, much to my surprise, I found I was still rejected and excluded.
