The Qur’ān has been divided into 30 parts (juz, pl. ajzā) for ease of memorising and reciting. Below is our QuranCast podcast with Ustadh Abu Haneefah Sohail, our Juz by Juz video series with Ustadh Asif Uddin, an excerpt from our famous Juz by Juz publication and app.

These have been compiled to help us develop kushū’ (attentiveness) and enrich our prayers when listening to the Qur’ān, especially in Ramadān when many mosques try to complete its recitation during this blessed month.

We hope it becomes an encouragement for us to read at least one Juz each day of our lives and to become attached to the Qur’ān, such that we become known as the People of Qur’ān.

Editor’s Pick

Of the hundreds of articles we publish in a year here we will share ones that caught our eye in particular, and ones that you can maximise benefit from in this blessed month.

‘Umar said, “I rolled up my garments up to my shin, so I could see the ground and see my feet. And I would put one foot forward and another back, out of fear of being pricked by a thorn.”

Ubayy then said, “O Commander of the Faithful, that is Taqwa.”

Taqwa: The Forgotten Jewel of Ramadan

Read me

If you want to complete the Qur’ān once this Ramadan we’ve made it easy to track your reading, with one Juz every day.

>>Today we bring you Juz 7<<

This Juz is from Sūrat al-Mā’dah āyah number 82 to al-An’ām āyah number 110 (5:82 – 6:110).

In the “Madīnah script” mushaf this corresponds to pages  121 – 142.

Quran Intensive

Memorise Me

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Sūrat al-Mulk is the protector from the torment of the grave.” [Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Hakim 2/498 & Nasai]

Let us all try and memorise this amazing sūrah this Ramadān. It consists of 30 āyat, so that’s one everyday!
