Why Are People Feasting After Fasting?!

Full Iftār tables and Ramadan delicacies are a feature in many homes each year. Indeed, Muslims should be spending the days bettering themselves spiritually with recitation, prayer and reflection instead of thinking about the food they’ll be shortly indulging.

In Episode 11, Shaykh Ali Hammuda reflects on a question once asked to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal about whether a person who enjoys satiety can enjoy a soft heart. The venerable master scholar replied in the negative, leaving us today with plenty of food for thought.
