After accepting in Canada in 1970, Shaykh Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick went on to become the first American to graduate from Madinah University, and later completed a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in African History at the University of Toronto in Canada. As well as being the head of AlMaghrib’s Sīrah and Islamic History Department, he is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Islamic Institute of Toronto (I.I.T.) and the Outreach Coordinator with the Canadian Council of Imams. He has authored many books and has travelled and lectured in a number of countries across the world.
