Trump’s words display West’s true colonial nature

US leader's predatory “Gaza takeover” language has perfectly illustrated the West’s addiction to colonisation

The recent vitriol spewed by Donald Trump that the US will “take over” and “own” Gaza, turning it to a “riviera” and a “resort”, has been globally condemned as a blatant display of colonial arrogance. [1]

Nevertheless, it exposes the real face of the West and its colonial capitalist predatory DNA which has shaped its very existence, from the beginning to the present.

War criminals Netanyahu and Trump — the former acting as master and latter as servant — have brazenly applauded each other with compliments of working as peacemakers.

As if their genocide in Gaza — with the US aiding and abetting through billions in military aid and political cover to commit crimes against humanity — weren’t enough?

Gaza will never be irreparably damaged

Audaciously then, the preposterous proposal to now claim that Gaza is “not habitable” is nothing but a classic colonial tactic. [2]

The intended effect is to create division, destabilisation, devastation, unrest, and then present yourself and institutions (set up to serve your interests) as the solution, all while erasing the indigenous populace in the process.

Isn’t this exactly how the Zionist apartheid entity was created in the first place?

American craving for expansion

For decades, Western powers have dictated the fate of Palestine, not to bring peace but to strengthen the Zionists and suppress resistance.

Genocide enablers and warmongers are acting as so-called peacemakers: funding destruction and then purporting to rebuild. They impose settlements and then claim to seek justice.

And now, they wish to take direct ownership of Gaza, erasing the Palestinians in the process. Yet they claim this is all temporary!

This is nothing we haven’t seen before, it’s classic colonialism and true capitalist opportunism by Trump to extend the existing Zionist colony and secure their economic and political interests at all costs.

Remember the recent proposed US “takeover” of Greenland, the Panama Canal, and Canada?

Some Muslim rulers sold Palestine long ago!

For colonialism to succeed, it needs indigenous agents, proxies, or “house Negroes” as Malcolm X put it.

Such agents are there to do the bidding on behalf of their colonial masters, and this is where some of the current Muslim rulers come in — who, like their forefathers — are complicit agents through and through.

Their shameful stance whilst Gaza witnessed genocide is extended into their naïve political narratives of a “two-state solution” — which has all but disappeared — and “normalisation” with genocide-mongers.

As Trump recently alleged, Riyadh has dropped the demand of a two-state solution!

What such rulers actually fear is the wrath of their own people

If they were to accept the ethnic cleansing of Gaza and US colonialism — their own lands are already colonised by the US via vast military bases — dissent and destabilisation would pose a huge threat to their positions.

The truth is that Trump, Netanyahu, and the Gaza genocide (in fact, the creation of the Zionist apartheid entity) could never have happened without the complicity and support of such rulers and their forefathers.

Such rulers who:

  • Sold their own daughters like Pakistan did with Dr. Aafia Siddiqui
  • Sold Palestine for some delusional “vision” of the future, like Saudi’s MBS
  • Sold Gaza in return for continuous trading and commercial relations with the Zionists throughout the genocide, like Türkiye’s Erdoğan and the Gulf Shaykhdoms.

It isn’t for no reason that some Muslim rulers have been described as Israel’s first line of defence.

For decades, they have enforced Western policies, normalised ties with Israel, and promoted an illusion they call peace.

Liberation for the Palestinian cause is inevitable

Whether it was the monstrosity of the colonialists’ forefathers (the Crusaders) or the apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide by the Zionists, the blessed land and people of Gaza and Palestine are a people of resilience, resistance, and unbreakable spirit which doesn’t know capitulation or defeat.

Hundreds and thousands have lived in refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza, and around the world.

Yet despite the decades living under occupation, genocide, and blockade, they continue to endure, rebuild, and fight for their rights. They persist in working to return to their homeland and liberate Palestine.

Two things are unequivocally clear

Firstly, the Islamic Ummah and the cause to liberate Palestine is stronger than ever before.

Second, Gaza or Palestine are not for sale. No-one has the right to negotiate this land, give it away, or take it.

Just like it wasn’t for sale in 1901, when Theodor Herzl — the founder of modern political Zionism — approached Caliph Abdul Hamid II with significant financial aid in exchange for land allowing Jewish settlement in Palestine.

The Caliph rejected the offer, stating:

I cannot sell even a foot of land, for it does not belong to me but to my people.

My people have won this Empire by fighting for it with their blood and have fertilised it with their blood.

We will again cover it with our blood before we allow it to be wrested away from us.” [3]

How can I help the Palestinians and serve Palestine?

Individuals

Do not underestimate the power of your voice, do not remain silent.

If you remain silent, you allow the oppression to go unchallenged, so speak to your family, friends, and colleagues. Educate them on the reality of Gaza and the West’s colonialism.

And challenge those who say nothing. Remind them that silence is complicity.

When you speak out, you weaken the oppressor’s narrative and strengthen the cause of justice!

Every voice raised against injustice matters, and history has shown that empires fall when the people refuse to be silent.

Influencers

Social media influencers: if you have a platform, use it for Palestine by exposing the lies!

The idea that the US can “own” Gaza is another step in removing Palestinians from their land and legitimising Israel’s dominance.

Expose the hypocrisy of those Muslim rulers who have supported the Zionist state, expose the failure of the two-state solution, and expose the Western colonial project in the region.

You can show the world that this is not about “real estate development” — it is about erasure and colonialism.

Use your voice to counter this dangerous narrative and awaken the masses.

Scholars

Imams and scholars, you have the ears of the Ummah and a duty to speak; this issue must be addressed in your Friday khutbahs.

This is not a political matter alone — it is a matter of justice, oppression, and the sanctity of Muslim lands.

The people of Gaza are being expelled, their land claimed by foreign powers, and their dignity stolen.

Remind the people that standing for justice is an obligation, and rejecting oppression is part of our dīn.

If the pulpits of the Ummah remain silent, then what purpose do they serve?

The Ummah

This is a defining moment; the US has openly declared its colonial ambitions, but the people do not have to accept this.

It is our collective duty to raise our voice, reject this narrative, and make it clear that Gaza belongs to the people of Palestine!

The Ummah is not powerless. History has shown that when the people rise, empires fall.

Stand for justice, for Palestine, and the dignity of the oppressed. Gaza is not for sale.

Solution lies in Ummah’s political unity

We have witnessed every single solution, and it has failed the Ummah. We need to make the return of the caliphate our project.

We must not turn our backs on Allah’s promise. We must openly and boldly call for the return of our shield — the caliphate — which will ensure no Muslim land is up for grabs.

Only through the unity of the Ummah and the establishment of the caliphate can we guarantee that Gaza and all Muslim lands remain free from colonial control.

Eagles prey on skunk. As Salatu wa Dhikrun. The religion of Israel or I should say some ruling political parties of Israel is elimination of people’s of color. Our denial of this has lead to this catastrophe. We will adjust our courses accordingly or be crushed on the rocks.
