We are deeply saddened by the news that one of our much-loved school families was on board the fatal Air India flight from Ahmedabad to Gatwick.
Akeel, Hannaa, and Sara were an integral part of our school community. As devoted parents, they were always the first to offer help — whether it was fundraising, volunteering for school events, or quietly stepping in to support with odd jobs behind the scenes.
Hannaa, in particular, had a deep love of learning and a strong belief in the power of education. She supported the school not only as a parent but as a committed contributor to our wider ethos of community and care.
Their daughter Sara was a joyful, bright presence in school, known to be curious, kind, and full of life. Her absence will be deeply felt by both staff and pupils.
This tragedy has struck at the heart of our school family. We are devastated, and we now begin the difficult process of grieving together and supporting one another through the days and weeks ahead.
Our priority is the wellbeing of our pupils, staff, and the extended school community as we come to terms with this loss. We will be providing pastoral support to our children and staff in the coming days should they need it.
We ask that the privacy of the family and the school is respected at this time. Any formal updates will be shared through the appropriate channels.
On behalf of the entire school, we extend our deepest thoughts and support to all those affected.
