Explanation of Zad al-Ma’ad

By Ahmed Ali 12 Sha 35 ◦︎ 10 Jun 14 2 Min Read

To study at the feet of scholars is a very enriching experience, but not everyone is blessed with such an opportunity. Our hectic schedules often sideline our in-depth study of Islam. It is for this reason that the Zad e-Learning site was setup, and has dedicated itself to providing a uniquely interactive study of the renowned book Zad al-Ma’ad (Provisions of the Hereafter) by Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah.

An in-depth study of this book is currently taking place with Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad in London, UK and www.islam21c.com has made the learning experience possible for all those who cannot attend but want to study Islam in a systematic manner going from subject to subject according to the orthodox teachings of Islam.

The book Zad al-Ma’ad is essentially a biography of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Saluations be upon him) from the perspective of a Faqhi (scholar of jurisprudence), and is one of the most famous works written on this subject. This is a book that is unique in that it explains the Sunnah through the Seerah and the Seerah through the Sunnah.

The Zad e-Learning site is updated weekly with videos of the latest lessons for students to watch at their leisure. In addition, students are able to listen to and download the audio lecture as an mp3. A written transcript of the lecture is available to read and download in word or pdf format with full referencing of narrations and additional statements of the scholars. There is a quiz section to test your knowledge and understanding and a resources section where students can download additional resources to enhance their understanding of the topic.

This valuable online resource is absolutely free and you do not have to register. Just go to www.zad.org.uk and get started!

AAWRWB, the http://www.zad.org.uk/ link isn’t working.
Please let me know when it’s fixed, as I’d love to follow the classes.
