Today is Algeria’s Independence Day. This year marks 60 years but its legacy lives on, says Islam21c’s History Editor, Sh Kashif Zakiuddin. Some Muslim scholars and leaders today would have us question: were Muslims right to resist, or should they have peacefully accepted subjugation?
