Hamas launches landmark legal challenge

In a ground-breaking development, British lawyers acting on behalf of the Palestinian resistance — commonly known as Hamas — have today set in motion a legal challenge calling for its deproscription.

The entire organisation was banned by then Home Secretary Priti Patel in a November 2021 move that was widely condemned and its legality probed. The organisation’s armed wing had already been banned since 2001.

From October 2023 to now, the Zionist state has been engaged in a genocide the likes of which we have not seen, with at least 50,000 civilians, the majority women and children, killed.
