What Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi has learnt in 12 months of genocide

Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi is Dean of Academic Affairs at the Islamic Seminary of America. He is also Resident Scholar at the East Plano Islamic Center.

Dr. Butt studied Biochemistry at Imperial College London, followed by a PhD in Chemical Biology, carrying out research into photosynthesis. During his years at university, he became involved in Islamic society da'wah and activism, and general Muslim community projects. At present, he is the Head of Islamic Thought and a regular contributor at Islam21c, and also has a blog on HuffPost. You may find him on social media.

Umer is Islam21c’s Finance Editor. He holds a PG Diploma from Manchester Business School aswell as Professional Qualification from Harvard University. He is one of the founding members of the National Waqf Fund and is part of Islamic Finance Advisory, thhe Business and Economics department of the Islamic Council.
