Biden upset with Israel over Gaza aid worker deaths

US President saves harshest criticism of Zionist aggression against Gaza for tragic deaths of seven, while 33,137 have already gone

In a rare slapping down of Israel, United States President Joe Biden has expressed his apparent “outrage” and being “heartbroken” over the needless killing of seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) aid workers in Gaza. [1]

The incident, which occurred during an Israeli airstrike on 1 April, has prompted some of Biden’s strongest criticism yet of the close US ally.

In a statement released by the White House on 2 April, Biden said,

“I am outraged and heartbroken by the deaths of seven humanitarian workers from World Central Kitchen, including one American, in Gaza yesterday.

“They were providing food to hungry civilians in the middle of a war. They were brave and selfless. Their deaths are a tragedy.

“Israel has not done enough to protect aid workers trying to deliver desperately needed help to civilians. Incidents like yesterday’s simply should not happen. Israel has also not done enough to protect civilians.” [2]

Netanyahu’s outrageous claim it was accidental

The seven aid workers, affiliated with the US-based organisation, World Central Kitchen, were killed in an attack on their clearly marked convoy in the Gaza Strip’s Deir el-Balah city. [1]

Among the victims were one Palestinian, one US-Canada dual national, one Australian, one Pole, and three Britons. [3]

The Zionist state’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has acknowledged Israel’s responsibility for the attack, claiming that it was accidental and “tragic”. [1]

The rightwing Israeli leader has promised a thorough investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future — such a step will likely make zero difference.

According to reports from Israeli paper Haaretz cited by Politico, Netanyahu commented,

“Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours there was a tragic case of our forces unintentionally hitting innocent people in the Gaza Strip. It happens in war, and we check it to the end.” [4]

Attack on clearly marked aid convoy “unforgivable”

In a statement, Erin Gore, the CEO of WCK since 2023, said,

“The WCK team was travelling in a de-conflicted zone in two armoured cars branded with the WCK logo and a soft skin vehicle.

“This is not only an attack against WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organisations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war.

“This is unforgivable.” [5]

Gore continued in her strong remarks,

“I am heartbroken and appalled that we — World Central Kitchen and the world — lost beautiful lives today because of a targeted attack by the IDF.

“The love they had for feeding people, the determination they embodied to show that humanity rises above all, and the impact they made in countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished.” [5]

Biden continues muddied approach to Zionist assault

Despite condemning the attack and stressing the need for accountability, Biden has continued to support Israel militarily. [1]

Indeed, he recently approved emergency shipments of weapons worth over $250 million, in addition to the longstanding annual military aid package of $3.8 billion. [1]

The US leader’s treatment of the genocide has faced increasing critique from progressives, rights activists, and members of the American Muslim community. Does he support the killing of women and children or does he condemn it?

White House iftar cancelled due to declined invites

In a highly embarrassing move, on Tuesday the White House moved to cancel an annual iftar gathering after would-be attendees signalled that they had no intention to take part while Gazans suffer — not least thanks to Biden’s pathetic response. [6]

Edward Ahmed Mitchell, the Deputy Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told the broadcaster Al Jazeera,

“The American Muslim community said very early on that it would be completely unacceptable for us to break bread with the very same White House that is enabling the Israeli government to starve and slaughter the Palestinian people in Gaza.” [6]

Similarly, a Palestinian-American political strategist, Hebah Kassem, told the network,

“Why are we allowing them to choose who represents us?

“These meetings haven’t led to any change. If anything, Biden has doubled down his support for Israel and increased the supply of weapons to Israel.” [7]

Enough with the racist double standards

By now, there is little pretence left to cover the blatant White supremacy and racist double standards that have characterised the Zionist occupation of Palestine and the discourse about it in the West.

Tens of thousands of innocents slaughtered systematically are an acceptable, albeit unfortunate, consequence of the actions of the last remaining European colony in the Middle East.

However, a handful of White aid workers from Western countries? That is too far. Enough is enough.

Thank you, Netanyahu!

The silver lining is that the hypocrisy of this pantomime of an establishment political and media discourse has become so obvious now, that even yesterday’s servile advocates of Israel are forced into embarrassing U-turns, not to mention the passive supporters and neutral onlookers. And we have Netanyahu to thank for that.

One only prays for an enemy that is as deluded and arrogant as this modern-day Pharaoh, as it is precisely when they reach such a peak of hubris that Allah brings His destruction and humiliation.

It is almost as though Netanyahu and his genocidal cronies are doing absolutely everything they can to lose support from the outside world. Alhamdulillāh.

Well done to the Ummah and its supporters

More and more of the miserable souls that were doing the bidding of the Zionist entity in the US and UK, in opposition to the interests of their own peoples, will be abandoning ship. But that won’t be enough to cleanse their blood-soaked hands.

The Nuremberg Trials established a modern precedent of criminal culpability for media and political cover for genocide, and anyone unfortunate enough to escape being brought to justice in this life can look forward to complete justice being delivered to the Palestinians in the next.

Until then, as is clear all over social media, the people motivated by humanity and justice are not letting the British and American ruling class and their servile media monkeys forget their role in giving cover for genocide.

For this, the Muslim Ummah and its friends should be commended — keep up the important work of making the voices of the heroes of Palestine too loud to ignore!
